Yesterday evening I went to pick up my book. It turned out well for the most part, but on some of the pages, particularly the front and back covers, the printing quality is kind of, well...bad. The pink shade on the covers fade to an orangey color and it looks a bit strange, though I guess it's not all that bothersome. The colors on the first few pages are a bit faded too, but every page after is printed well.

Luckily I didn't have any problems with the graphics bleeding off of the page.

So I went over to Jayhawk Ink today and got my book printed. Well, it's not printed yet, but they'll email me once it's done. Hopefully it'll be done by the end of the day so I can just go and pick it up later. I can't wait to see it.

In other news, I got my Drawing Media grade today. B-. Aww....
I was really hoping for an A, but oh well, as long as I can make an A in my Philosophy class, I'll be happy.

Last Day Tomorrow

Tomorrow's the last day of classes and I've been really pushing myself to get absolutely everything done. I have all of my BDS work finished (aside from my bio page...still need to do that), and I have some work left over for my Drawing Media class. I'll more than likely be up the entire night, haha, but no worries. I feel pretty good right now and ready to finish everything up.

So I have my front book covers done, but I seem to be having a bit of trouble with the back covers. My guess is that they'll probably end up being very simplistic, but I'm wondering if we could put a summary on the back like a lot of other books do. I just don't want the back covers looking too plain, haha.

I finished all of my spreads today. I'm pretty happy with them, though they're a bit simplistic. Hopefully my refined pages will end up looking great. I've always been a bit bothered knowing that everyone in the class usually puts out better work than I do, haha. I'm going to make sure it's not the case this time.

Today, I played around a bit with InDesign on the design building computers. I figured I'd have a bit of trouble with it, but it's not too difficult of a program. For next class we're supposed to have 3 spreads of 4 pages done as examples (I guess?) Hopefully this will go smoothly.

I couldn't seem to find much on my original choice for a designer. Not even on the library search could I find anything about him. So instead, I decided to go with Disney. I figured that he would be a better choice anyway considering the extensive knowledge of him that you could find on the web.
